My own mother unexpectedly passed away about a month after yours. While I was somewhat prepared for the sadness, I wasn't prepared for the physical reaction I had to Mom's death. I couldn't sleep. I was agitated. I wasn't interested in doing much. My thoughts were muddled. When my blood pressure went way up and I had a little melt down, I went to the doctor. He prescribed something to help with the physical symptoms and referred me to someone who I thought was a grief counselor. She turned out to be a depression therapist. Depression, grief, and anxiety all share some common physical symptoms. Do I still cry for my Mom? Yes. Is the grief paralyzing me? No. Do I feel better? Yes. Will I go back to the therapist? Probably not. But, I will if I get overwhelmed again. I wasn't ready for my Mom to leave me and I miss her every. single. day. I'm glad you're getting help. I'm thinking of you and sending virtual hugs your way.

Glad to hear about the therapist. Best thing one can invest in for one's self. Your mom was amazing; so of course it's hard and you miss her deeply. I miss her, too. Happy you're taking good care of yourself, OM.

OmegaDotter sure is growing up into a fine young lady! Yep, agree with JW... it's time for "real" riding lessons. :)

The pics are great. I can't believe Little Miss is too old for pony rides! I agree with your WAH! I'm glad you've found a counselor. We've had great success in our family with grief counselors. Two family members benefited greatly from them. There are just times when a professional in needed. Love you, OM, you're the best!
