Etc. they all recorded lots of songs other than the ones for the ankle biter/knee banger crowd. Songs like Joe Hill, john Henry, If I Had A Hammer. You should know many of them from your childhood. Or Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. That's great for kids, especially if she likes the ballet. Or even one of my faves, Dvorak's Symphony No 9, the New World symphony. The music paints such vivid pictures of American Indians (are we still allowed to call them that? or is it First Nations now?) running through forests, and the spirituals sung by the African slaves, and just the general sweeping grandeur of American landscapes.
