Hi, O;
She sounds like a great kid. And somewhere in her brain rests all the grace and manners you raised her to have. As far as choosing a friend who makes you tear your hair out? And those other weird judgment things? Well she is your kid. It's her 'job' to torment you... :))

This note writing is impressive in one so young. Shows she's got a good heart and a great set of parents. K. sounds like real trouble on two feet. A ticklish situation. If you show too much opposition to the friendship you push the rebellion button, ignore and K's influence has no counter action. Would it help if when K does something you don't approve of or pushes Omegadotter's button, you discus it with her and see what she thinks of it and why? She might decide on her own that it really wasn't a good thing to do.

It's all very difficult. Good luck.

Heh-heh-heh. Our interactions with the Girl this morning involved:

A) All the reasons why she was not going to get a pocketknife as large as her father's for her birthday, and

B) Why she can't file her fingernails into sharp points.

I guess she and a friend had decided on this little exercise in body modification. Hers were already pretty impressive. We made her clip them off.

Got to love those teenagers.
