The printsuss hoo slad the Dragin!

posted in Books, OmegaDotter |

For your enjoyment:

This is the lazy person’s way to do a blog post:  Get her kid to do it for her!  I like how the Prins was sort of an afterthought, kind of, “Well, these are the standards of the form, so I need to get it in there…”  Also, I think the servant girl who hated her job but had to do it anyway might be a subversive form of rebellion against clearing the table after dinner.

When Dotter becomes a hormonal teenager and you want to pull your hair out take this out and read it. It will help you remember how sweet and wonderful she is! BTW is see writing in her future!

I think CSD would be interested to hear about how your daughter perceives herself as a serving girl/scullery maid. Very interested, indeed. :-)

Brilliant… just be glad there was no wicked witch in there… oh wait, maybe there was and you just censored this part? Page 5 seems to be missing… :-)

That is one heck of a saga. “She had to do it anyway” does appear to be a theme, doesn’t it? It’s like a hymn to personal responsibility.

I love it! Tell her I think she is going to be a wonderful author someday. It is also a bonus that she can do kickass illustrations too! :)

Oh my gosh, I hope Omega Dotter doesn’t come near my house in Hawaii, she skared me –she is so brave, slaying a dragin yet. Wow!

And after she married the prinz there was still stuff she “had to do anyway.” Ah, but they don’t tell you that in the stories! Great stuff.

Very well done! Yes, I think she has a future as either a writer or an illustrator.

This was good. Better than the book I’m currently reading.

A delight! Nothing like a picture book by an aspiring kid writer.

Wow - she clearly has arty talent! I’m really impressed by the quality of the text (and the story and the drawings but it’s the way she’s drawn the text that stands out for me).

I love it. it is very similar to what we are getting around here, but we have fewer princesses (my kid refuses to be the princess, ever) and more dragons. OD’s is really so charming and long! I love how thorough it is, and the lettering… it is not easy to do all of that outlined lettering.

    really lovely story.

    Wonderful!
I notice that one of the few words she’s learned the common spelling for is “horse.”

Oh, and did I mention how much I appreciate how very very well and thoroughly the book is stapled?

Veeeery good. I was reading some earlier blog posts and couldn’t help but think: “Is the Prins OATL (or however it wa spelt, you know what I mean…)”
Also, I’m double her age and she can draw waaaay better than me. I see a budding artist/writer in the making!
