Thank you for the lovely Christmas card and letter. :) I've enjoyed reading it. Hopefully it has "warmed" up and is not so "cold" there in Arizona. (I'm chuckling as I write that because it barely nudged passed zero here today. LOL!)

And ooohhh are the pictures lovely! The Gingy House looks like news footage from the wildfires in California. I actually managed to melt peppermint candies. (Oddly, the coating on the M&Ms only cracked.... Now that can't be healthy.) I'm thinking of upsizing next year's into a yard art display... a great big smoldering ruin of gingerbread with a flamed-out Christmas tree.

And BTW... I actually posted on my own blog. Not the Gingy House, but the Eco-no-me. I'm grumpy and I can't sleep.

Oh, toasted gingerbread houses are something I would do. These are the stories you tell for years to come. Have a great vacation.

We would call that "gingerbread flambé" chez us. We have had "plastic bowl of pretzels flambé" (mom got a new oven for that one), "apple pie flambé" (oddly enough, the uncharred bits were still edible according to my husband) and my favorite, but the most dangerous "pizza box flambé" (mother-in law got a new kitchen table and chairs for that one). And that is just the recent ones. We kind of have a problem with not checking the oven before turning it on.

Sorry about the house though. Hope you enjoy your visit!
