I often wonder if people get home and feel sick and stupid after sounding so sick and stupid, KWIM? I don’t mean that quite as mean as it sounds. It’s just wow, some of the hatred and ignorance is so ickified, and I know how sick I personally feel when I do something ugly or stupid. And I just wonder…do they?

So awesome you went to a rally. I’ve been meaning to ask you about the feeling around you, since Palin was announced as McCain’s running mate. I got a little distracted, though.

You do realize that some folks can’t disagree with anyone or anything and do it in a civil manner. I dislike Obama but for his philosophy not his religion, race, middle name or any other asinine reason. Like it or not, that’s what makes this the greatest country in the world. We can do exactly what we feel and say we have the right to choose who we like or dislike for whatever reason and not be arrested for doing so.

I know it’s seriously not funny, and that’s probably why I think it IS funny, because it’s some weird coping mechanism, but come on weird Suburban Alaska Republicans, the devil? For some reason the idea of suburban Republicans flashing devil horns at Obama supporters is beyond ludicrous to me so therefore it must be hilarious! Maybe they’re flashing the devil horns because they’ve all been possessed and they’re showing their own allegiance to the devil? But, as they say, you can’t argue with crazy!

I’ve heard that some believe he is the anti - Christ and that if he is voted in to office the world will end. What amazes me is all of these people that are predicting it are avid bible - thumpers and yet the bible clearly states that no man will know the hour, the day, or the time. So how do they know? They don’t. It is one more thing to say.

I did read on my local news website that about 40% (that’s HUGE) of democrats (white) will not vote for Obama simply because he is black. They won’t vote a black man in to office because they view blacks as “lazy” and “violent”. I don’t know about you but I have family members that fit in to both of those categories, simultaneously, and are white.

It sickens me that we are in the year 2008 and such bigotry and hatred still exists. It’s sad and speaks volumes about how this country has failed to evolve, be more open minded, and accepting.
