I see other moms at school with children younger than their Kindergartner and their 5 year old doesn't hold their hand anymore because they are holding smaller ones. And it is dd who frequently says to me she wishes she were a baby again so I could hold her and feed her. Funny thing was when we brought her home at 13 months she was walking and climbing on everything and feeding herself-wanting to do things herself-but I can't help but wonder if there is a sense deep down that she missed out on something. I know I still feel that looking at her referral pictures-still front and center on our fridge-that we never got to hold her when she was the age she was in the pictures. Oh yeah-dd moans whenever she wakes up-and usually at least once every night at 3AM. Guess which one of us she calls for? Still I just told dh moving her bedtime earlier since the holidays has really helped her disposition in the AM. I admire you for dealing with your Alaskan winter.
