She will save you. I recall my bad winter - when my Mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I said, "Nothing. I'm feeling so old and tired." (I was 32) She had originally bought me an electric blanket. [I needed it! I was in a miserably cold climate!] She cashed it in and sent me ice skates. The old fashioned kind... With black furry tassles and bells, too! Man... it took a lot of courage to head out on the rink with those but everyone kept skating up to me saying "you're so cool! Where did you get those?" Apparently Mom knew something I didn't..." Your Mom does, too: Mom wants you to embrace your new life. She knows that it doesn't really matter where you are. And, BTW, I learned the hard truth about Alaska -- once I had ordered the plaques, the invoice was printed up on the screen -- and it seems I was paying twice as much in shipping as I did for the art work.
