So no visitors. If I had known...I'd have baked that legendary cake. but my big excitement is the arrival any minute now of my bro from Perth down under in OZ; yesterday was the cleaning team & I even forgot that I had my weekly breakfast date this morning until I was awakened by a friend at the door with a quizzical look on his face... I was out of candy by 6:10 pm. I then had to explain to many of my students why I didn't have any treats for them when they rang my doorbell. I have never seen so many kids in my life. The weather here was ideal, daylight savings time kept it light later and I live on the main drag in a small village. People from 3 towns over were here last night. It's a toss up whether it is better to be able to eat the candy you bought yourself or tell little kids that there is no candy at this house. I bought 350 pieces of candy and passed them out one at a time. I was out of candy by 6:10 pm.
