I'm still trying to wrap my head around this. I can't. I just can't understand it. So many women's tears are shed - enough to fill oceans - each year over the want of a child and these women are blessed with not one but two. Are they grateful? No. They are selfish, self - centered asses. They don't deserve either one of them.

My sister ended up with twins after IVF. Absolutely devastated them financially (and I don't mean they can't buy a new suv, they're on factory wages), but 3 years later, they are still the happiest family ever. I just can't imagine how someone could live with themselves, filing such a lawsuit over the existence of their own child. Unfathomable, even if it is just about money. ~lmc

I just cannot believe that.. I went through the IVF w/ICSI process.. we transfered three embryos.. fully aware of the risks... we did not get pregnant.

I can't even believe that this case could be carried out... I mean they must have signed something and been told of the risks.

And ditto to what you said.

Those lawsuits of that type when they happen? Disturb me so deeply on so many levels.

Geez, it's not malpractice, okay?

Argh

UGH! This is yet another reason that as soon as I get to the pearly gates, I will need to immediately speak to the person who gives out babies. I have alot of questions.

I hope those kids never find out about this suit. I wonder which one they think was "wrong". They should have both kids taken away and given to loving homes where the parents aren't able to be LUCKY ENOUGH to have biological children!!

You have GOT to be kidding me. I spent two weeks terrified of twins or more. BUT, I would have dealt. How about my cousin who after years had her first IVF, transfered 3 and now has triplets? She was scared, but DEALT. Hello?

Sigh....

Figlet, GOOD fOR YOU!

I had first hand experience with someone who was distraught when the two embryos she had transferred resulted in *twins*. She had the balls to say to a room full of infertile women that this was NOT what she had wanted. One please. And you know I bitch slapped her silly.

On the other hand, it looks like they've picked up our fancy for dumb lawsuits.

Omega daughter-in-law recently, say three weeks ago, brought forth unplanned twins. A bit of a hard trot, but she and hubby are happily coping.

I trust that the two lady(?)-men in Melbourne are unsuccessful in their robbery attempt.
