You can sleep simply while you clean and paint and stuff-- it'll be like, um, camping, without the bugs? I'm grasping at straws here. If it were me, I'd move all my stuff to the front yard of the new house before the closing. Is it currently occupied? Or else, dadgum, move out over that weekend and just don't pay the rent for September. What are they gonna do? Around here, people normally don't pay ANY rent for the six months it takes to get an eviction carried out (which explains why so many move every six months). Next Friday is still August.
