Beagle--I'm with you! I like the celebration...it makes my heart go all mushy.

Atomic Mama--Thanks for the good thoughts!

Theresa--I suspect that the dotter doesn't really comprehend what it means to "move". She's grasped the idea that some things will come with us, and some will go, and is constantly on us about making sure all her horsies go with us. But this doesn't seem to translate into the concept of not being able to see *people* any more. This will be problematic when we arrive at the new digs; I'm fully expecting to have her say to us, after a few weeks, "This is nice, but when can we go home?" (The hip is doing better, thanks.)

SBird--Thanks!

Jess--You are not alone. Check out my most recent post, where I talk about how *we* have lost those important docs, too. I've called our local agency, our international agency, and neither of them have copies, either. Our local agency, which is moving offices, can't locate our file at all...

Heh. We just moved, and suddenly we can't find our daughter's paperwork related to her adoption. Just as suddenly, we need a piece of it that we haven't needed since a month or two after we got back, four years ago. ARGH.

Good luck with your move!

Just wondering how the Dotter is going to handle being so far away from OAOTL? She looks beautiful in her bob and her floral outfit-so grown up! And her look toward OAOTL is priceless!

Our dd fell for the tallest (naturally!) boy in her Pre-K class-well actually he was in the afternoon class but she would see him when she stayed late and he came early for "lunch bunch". Her paramour tells really "punny" (she still has trouble with "f")knock-knock jokes and according to his mom is obsessed with cleaning. Dd told me last week he could clean the house before he goes to work when they get married and she would make breakfast for her babies (but she wants to adopt-she doesn't want any coming out of her tummy!)

As much as dd says she wishes she could be a baby again-I just love this age because they say the funniest things and you can have full conversations.

Dd also loves bubble gum (-sugar free). I used what happened to the dotter as a cautionary tale.

BTW-hope the hip is doing better;)
