SpaceMom–OmegaGranny is bummed. She says she’s lonely already. She went to see Great-Grandma and cried on her shoulders, but GG pretty much said, “Pull yourself together. These things happen.” Which just goes to show where our familial phlegmatism comes from.

PAGent–Hah! I was thinking the same thing, too–”OMG! I’m going to lose touch with everyone!” And then I realized the blogging world will still be there…

Baggage–Well, when you come back, you can visit!

Mrs. Figby–Oh, yeah, BIG change. BIG. Super BIG. But it’s damned beautiful there!

I’m very jealous. I’ve always threatened the wife with a move to Alaska. Don’t think I’d appreciate the mosquitos, though.

One funny thing, when I read this post my initial reaction was “NOOOOO!!! I don’t want to lose contact with Omegamom!” But, of course, when you ‘visit’ electronically, you don’t need to have your heart broken when a friend leaves town.

Beagle–Remember, we’re up in the mountains. So we have winter-type clothing, it’s just that we’re used to being able to shed it really quickly when the sun warms things up. No parkas, though!

Julie–Thanks for the pointer to Scribbit! And, yeah, the labyrinthine ways of the bureaucracy can just leave one cross-eyed. About summer: don’t forget mosquitoes and black flies!
