Beagle--I have mixed feelings about the Bratz. After all, I played with Barbies way back when, and have not become an anorexic fashion feind as a result...

Spacemom--I think my problem is articulated by a few others: MJ is supposed to be a strong, self-sufficient woman on her own. Some folks scoff about the "washing Peter Parker's spidey suit", saying everyone ends up washing their loved ones' stuff...to which I say, if I'm going to wash OmegaDad's duds, I dump them into the washing machine, and if they need hand-washing, I wash them at the kitchen sink. I wouldn't wash the way that figurine washes--my back would scream at me! ;)

Mamasan--What category were you nominated in??

Miss C--Thanks for the nomination, and glad to know it's so (generally) easy to vote!

Yeah, you have to register, but its a fast form. You can vote for as many blogs as you want, even in the same category, but you can only vote for each blog once in each category. I think I've voted for several dozen in my main category (humor) alone!

I tried to vote for you, but it turned out that first, it was necessary to register. No big deal, but required. Someone nominated me, too, but the category was very, very broad, there being no "local" or "regional" category that would fit so much better!

SIgh, I read the Comic book bingo and I am caught on this one.

On one hand, MJ is the epitomy of a geeky boy's wet dream
On the other hand, do we want boys/men to think all women will dress like this to wash their "spidey outfits".
Or that women in general are like this...
Or are we drawing lines that don't need to be there...

Don't start me on Bratz. I hate those. Soleil asked us about them and we told her that Brat means a person who doesn't think about others. She said that it wasn't nice....

My eight year old niece got a Br@tz doll for her 8th birthday (from her grandma). It was like a bad version of streetwalker B@rbie!

Awful really.

Congrats on your nominations!
