Amen on the phone thing. HATE the phone. Also, I had no idea so many of us were long-time thumb suckers! I seriously thought I was the only one. And I had the living-off-the-land dream, too, except we were going to build our own farmhouse from scavenged and recycled materials and have a huge organic garden to feed ourselves. Heh. And yes, it is SO inconvenient when you need to call a client or take a call from a client, but I've never really gotten over it. Also, I like privacy when I make most calls - I hate having an audience, regardless of whether they're private or work calls. I simply HATE the phone. And No. 7 - I've had the same desires, except my plan was to build an earth lodge or pithouse... Ugh, I’ve got the phone phobia, too, except mine works both ways.
