Moving Day!

posted in Blogger, WordPress |

Well.  I finally did it…my itty bitty ad paid for a year’s hosting at SiteGround, and I’ve fiddled with my CSS for the theme, and imported all my Blogger posts and comments, soooo…

Change your bookmarks to the New OmegaMom!

Woohoo!

Old OmegaMom posts will still be here; I have to figure out how to have them redirect to the new site, bleah.  And I have to go and change all my blog aggregators to point to the new site, bleah.  Which means my Technorati ranking will go all to hell.  Bleah.

But it’s way cool!  Come and see!

    WordPress rocks!
But why did you do unlimited width? On really big screens (no, I will pass on the stupid joke) that looks a little odd.
But yeah, having your own domain and a fully hosted solution with decent blogging software is so much more fun. And there’s a cool new plugin for WordPress every week. I just love it.

(oh and the ads on my site are paying for about six days of hosting or something like that - if I ever get to enough money accrued that Google actually pays…)

Congratulations on the move. The new site looks great.

Dirk–Oh, lordy. I didn’t realize it was unlimited width. Hm. I’ll have to fiddle with that, as well. I also don’t like how the comment box goes on and on and on, which I didn’t realize. This is someone else’s theme that I’ve tinkered with. Thanks for catching that!

    BH–Thanks!

Dirk–Would you do me a favor and check the layout on your BIG SCREEN, using both Firefox and IE? I’ve got a hack in that is supposed to fix IE’s lack of support for the max-width property.

Huzzah! Cast off those shackles, sister, and take control of your blog.

Looks beautiful… it’s nice and wide and floats perfectly to that point and then stop.

But I must say that you really hurt my feelings. Internet Exploder??? Are you implying that you think I am surfing the web using Internet Exploder? Or Windows, for that matter? I’m hurt.

But you’ll be happy to hear that it looks great on both Safari and Firefox on a 1920×1200 screen :-)

    Well done!

    Congrats on your move!

I haven’t gotten up the gumption to even move to blogger beta yet! LOL!

Congratulations on the move & your own domain! Woot!

I got interested when you said the one shopping link allowed you to do this, so I’m giving it a try. I don’t really get how it works & I’m probably not making mine visible enough or interesting enough, but what the heck. We can use all the help we can get to help cover expenses! :-)

…er, got interested in the “sponsored” idea, that is. Was already interested in your blog… Oy.

PAGent–hahaha! I’m FREE! I’m FREE! Woohoo! I can do whatever I want! (Within reason, of course.)

Dirk–Thanks for checking. The reason I asked for a check with IE is that IE is the one that needs the hack.

Jac–I found this much simpler (in the end) than switching to new Blogger. But that’s because new Blogger and my blog just weren’t getting along nicely.

Kate–It’s the BizRate one that paid for it; CrazyHipBlogMamas has a dealio going with BR.
