SBird--I'm not sure they have a Mac version, so if you use a Mac it may not work. I've found it very easy to use!

Dirk--Now, now, don't get your ego all inflated here! I chose your questions because I thought they'd be quick and easy to answer. Hah. (Alas, I've already signed up with SiteGround due to a referral from Dawn over at This Woman's Work. My itty-bitty ad paid off!)

Mamasan--So far, I haven't had a problem with the images "flattening", but that's because I do the resizing in PaintShopPro and upload them to Photobucket, I guess. Enjoy your new camera!

Re: photos. You're so right. It's time consuming to take all those steps you outline. Plus the fact that either my camera or Blogger tends to "flatten" my pix & I have to hype the contrast quite a bit...

Wow - a whole post almost entirely from my questions... I'm so flattered!

I use WordPress and love it. I host it myself on a Mac Mini in my home office - kind of fun, but not for everyone. If you are interested in a recommendation for an outstanding and affordable hoster who does very well with WordPress, drop me a line - many friends (and even my wife) prefer that to self-hosted versions.

I understand the privacy and pictures concerns... so far I just ignore them and post boat loads of pictures of the twins. Eventually that may change, though.
