There was a great column in the paper today suggesting that the photo-op should have been bush surrounded by alzheimers patients, PWDS, folks with parkinsons and paralysis... Amen, Omega Mom.

I wrote on another site about Bush's veto, its an image thing only, doesn't have anything to do with real science or ethics. He's going as far as he thinks he can on the pro-life contunuum. But he could go even father... In India, up until the last century, children were betrothed during toddlerhood, so they could be ready to marry immediately at the girl's first menses. Why? Because its a sin to deprive any egg she produces the opportunity to become a person. Thats why you had 10-12 year old brides, and child widows doomed to a life of poverty and loneliness.
