Not a word, Scott. Not a word. Comments have been sparse lately...:( I read an interesting analysis by MSNBC today wherein they claimed that the law would probably be struck down by the Circuit Court, and that if it was taken to the Supreme Court, the Supremes probably wouldn't take the case. The analysis was that the liberal justices wouldn't want to take it on because they couldn't guarantee five votes against it, and the conservative justices wouldn't want to take it on just yet because it would be...can't remember the word...but "non-politic" to jump on the case right away. Besides, the conservatives, too, can't guarantee five votes. Interesting analysis.

I heard on NPR today that the governor will probably sign this.
If it is enacted into law (which seems inevitable now) we are going to learn everything we want to know about our new Supreme Court justices rather quickly.

I comfort myself by trying to believe that the pendulum will swing again.

I have to admit I checked back on this post because I was curious which way the comments would go in the China adoption community...

Pretty quiet in here...

I think that it's quite chilling that our rights continue to slip through our fingers, not to mention what is going to be of those who are molested or raped? What will become of those unwanted children they bear? I can only see more poverty, violence, and child abuse as a result of this. And of course, death due to illegal abortions taking place.

Women have found ways in the past, and will do what they have to, but not without major consequences.
