While we were waiting for Sarah's referral, I dreamed I gave birth to a guinea pig. At least you were referred a cat.

While waiting for Rachel's referral, I dreamed we were referred a boy. That scared the hell out of me for weeks. The first thing I asked my social worker when we got Rachel's referral, "Is the baby a girl?". Her response: "I don't know -- I don't read Chinese." The first thing I looked at in Rachel's stack of referral documents was not the cute picture on top, but the medical report -- looking for that character for female.
